Upcoming Training for Farmers: Empowering PCs and DOs Through CMS Training.

At Worldwide Commodities Merchants Ltd, we believe that strong systems build strong supply chains. As part of our commitment to sustainable cocoa sourcing and efficient operations, we are excited to announce an upcoming training program designed specifically for our field staff—Purchasing Clerks (PCs) and District Officers (DOs).
This training will focus on equipping our team with practical skills and knowledge on how to effectively use the Cocoa Management System (CMS)—the digital backbone of our operations.
Why This Training Matters
The CMS is more than just a record-keeping platform. It is a powerful tool that enables seamless communication, transparent data entry, and real-time monitoring of cocoa purchasing activities. For our field staff, being well-versed in the CMS means:
- More accurate weighing and recordkeeping
- Faster processing of transactions
- Improved farmer traceability and accountability
- Reduced paperwork and data loss
With Ghana’s cocoa industry growing increasingly digital, staying ahead of the curve is critical—not just for compliance, but for growth.
Who Is Being Trained?
The training targets two key roles within our field structure:
- Purchasing Clerks (PCs): These are the frontline staff at the sheds and depots who weigh and buy cocoa directly from farmers.
- District Officers (DOs): Supervisors who manage operations across multiple sheds and ensure that CMS data is being captured accurately.
Both groups play a vital role in ensuring that cocoa sourced by Worldwide Commodities Merchants meets national and international standards.
What the Training Will Cover
Here’s a snapshot of what our team will be learning:
- CMS Account Setup and Access
- How to log in securely and navigate the dashboard.
- Setting up roles and permissions for users.
- Farmer Registration and Updates
- Entering new farmer profiles.
- Updating biodata and verifying supplier ID cards.
- Bag Tagging and Cocoa Purchase Entry
- Tagging sustainable and conventional cocoa bags.
- Weighing processes and uploading weight records to the CMS.

Hands-On Practice
The training is designed to be hands-on and interactive. Participants will use demo versions of the CMS, simulate transactions, and learn how to troubleshoot in real-time scenarios. Printed guides and video tutorials will be provided to reinforce learning.
When and Where?
The training sessions will begin from 23rd July to 26th July 2025, at designated district offices across the regions we operate in. Each session will last approximately two days, and attendance is mandatory for all field personnel.
Our Commitment
At Worldwide Commodities Merchants Ltd, we are not just investing in technology—we are investing in people. By training our PCs and DOs to fully leverage the CMS, we ensure that our operations remain transparent, efficient, and ready for the future of cocoa.
